PipeScreams a Success!

A PipeScreams recital was held at East Heights United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM. An audience of one hundred heard music of the season performed by chapter members Tyler Breneman, Marcia Hansen, and Bryan Mock. Angel Garcia, organ student of Anna Jeter, opened the program with the Toccata in D minor (BWV 565) by J. S. Bach. Tyler played a medley of pieces from Phantom of the Opera. Ten piano students played Halloween solos on the organ. Teachers Kathleen Fehrmann, Marlene Hallstrom, Carole Pracht, and Joanne Ehrlich helped prepare their students and selected registrations. Carole Pracht played the organ and her student, Bella Gorges played the piano on Scary Night Concertino in D minor. Other piano students performing were Thomas Schroeder, Harrison Burgardt, Lyndon Burgardt, Lucy Robertson, George Robertson, Megan Robertson, Cadence Nutter, Graham Gordon, and Lydia Iwig. The recital concluded with Marcia Hansen playing Funeral March of a Marionette by Gounod, and Bryan Mock playing Prelude and Fugue in G Minor, Op. 7, No. 3 by Dupre’. Narration was provided by sub-dean Annette Lindal and Thomas Jacobson, an English major at Wichita State University. Costumes and treat bags (provided by Pat Walcher) added to the festivities. The recital was in collaboration with the Wichita Metropolitan Music Teachers Association.​
