Dear AGO Friends,
I certainly had to “reach back in my memory bank” to come up with the answers to questions when we played Organ Jeopardy at our February social held at First Church of the Brethren on Sunday, February 9. What a fun evening of visiting, laughing, eating, and learning (or re-learning!). Many of us picked up music from the organ library that is stored at the church. A special thank you to Ralph Phillips and Marlene Hallstrom who helped organize and review the music. I am also grateful for the time Ralph and Marlene spent in providing the evening’s entertainment.
On the weekend of March 8-9, the Wichita Chapter will hold its scholarship auditions in both Hutchinson and Wichita. Our chapter has committed both financial and personal resources toward the education of a future generation of organists. On the national level, AGO is hosting four Pipe Organ Encounters (POE), One POE Advanced, One POE Technical, and three POE-plus. Visit the AGO website for further information and registration for these events.
Looking ahead to April, the Chapter is pleased to co-sponsor with First Presbyterian Church’s Angulo Memorial Concert Series.
