Dear AGO friends,
Your board met via ZOOM on Thursday, April 16, 2020. Our meeting time was scheduled for 7:15 p.m. and we were able to start the meeting by 7:45 p.m.! Everyone persevered and worked through the technical problems. My thanks to Chris Shaw for setting up the meeting and helping us all connect.
Even though our programming year has been cut short we are looking ahead to 2020-2021. The long-range planning committee will meet this summer and work on our future plans. Board members are reaching out via phone to all members. If you have suggestions or need to update information in the yearbook, please do so. You can also update your membership information on the AGO website (ONCARD). We are waiting a few weeks to make a decision about the June 23 recital of Michael Carraher–you will be notified.
I encourage you to take some time to explore the resources that are available on the AGO website (www.agohq.org). This morning with a coffee cup in hand I watched a presentation by Faythe Freese, “Sure-fire Practice Techniques.” Faythe gave this workshop at the 2014 National Convention in Boston. Watching the presentation was renewing and energizing. The AGO website is easy to navigate and there is an entire section on COVID 19 resources.
Many of you are working to keep your church members and students connected through digital mediums. Thank you for your work!
Stay safe and well and do something good for yourself.
Annette Lindal Dean, Wichita Chapter AGO
