Time flies when you’re having fun! That must have been the case in July because I don’t know where all of the days went. The past few weeks have been busy as I have been following up on plans for the upcoming program year, working on the annual budget, setting committees and getting ready for another school year to begin. And most importantly getting back to the organ bench, preparing for the first program of the year.

Mark your calendars for our kick-off event. The hymn festival will feature the organ, hymn singing, and choral singing. We will also do a formal installation of the Executive Board. Following the hymn festival, we invite you to an ice cream social. Be sure to publicize the event and invite your friends that enjoy organ music, hymn singing, and choral singing.
Don’t forget to renew your membership or become a member! Looking over the progress in the ONCARD reports, we are doing very well this year with our renewals. But this is just another kind reminder to get your renewals taken care of as soon as possible. A letter went out to members recently that indicated you needed to renew by August 10th to be included in the annual yearbook. Be sure to take advantage of ONCARD process as soon as possible. If you need any help with renewal, be sure to contact Gary Huffman. We can also do a printed registration process for those that prefer that option, so be sure to contact us if you need some help.
Remember to invite a friend! Use the AGO in your everyday conversations and celebrate the work our chapter. We have a great slate of events planned for the upcoming year (more details in the September Clarion). Take advantage of these events to invite new people, see good friends, and grow the guild! Enjoy the last few days/weeks of summer!
